At Leading Learners, we really do believe that giving our pupils the chance to explore their talents, grasp opportunities and determine their own future should be at the heart of all that we do.
Leading Learners has a clear strategy for improvement, developed over time which has a proven track record of success. This is reviewed regularly in-line with national and local priorities and tailored specifically to the needs of individual schools.
Who we are
Leading Learners Multi-Academy Trust was founded by the leaders of Tyldesley Primary School in 2016, with the vision of providing a supportive platform for schools in the local area and beyond. We are currently a family of nine primary schools, based across the Greater Manchester and Yorkshire region.
Our goal
Our goal is to deliver strong professional learning, putting children at the heart of everything we do and providing every child with a world-class education within the setting of an outstanding academy.
We aim to develop all members of our Trust academies' communities, from children to academy leaders. We have supported the successful improvement of many local schools and firmly believe in the power of mutual collaboration, partnership working and shared accountability between Trust academies, leading to better outcomes for all.
At Leading Learners, we seek to provide clear career pathways and offer exciting opportunities for staff to grow and develop, recognising and rewarding individual strengths. Our senior leaders have considerable leadership and school improvement experience, NQT training specialism and high-level coaching and mentoring skills.
Unique places
We are not a hierarchical Trust. Our holistic, supportive approach encompasses all aspects of each academy, consistently achieving and maintaining standards of excellence.
We understand that schools are proud of their individuality and it is important to us that what makes members of Leading Learners unique is maintained. The Trust's aims are focused on delivering better outcomes for children within their familiar environments.
Our mission is simple; we help children find a path where they can explore their talents, grasp opportunities and determine their own futures. Giving each and every one of them chances and choices is at the heart of what we do.

Within our Trust we work together as one partnership. We are united through our shared values and moral purpose – that everyone within our organisation must act with integrity, and are led by clear and consistent protocols. We pride ourselves in our ability to strike a fine balance between supporting but challenging our academies, pushing them to collaborate in order to continually grow and improve.
Everything that we do at Leading Learners is centred on improving outcomes for our children, delivering learning experiences of an outstanding standard with the upmost professional integrity. We believe that all children can achieve great things, and equally that each member of staff can be outstanding in their role.
We invest in exceptional opportunities to get the best out of our staff, helping them in turn to get the best out of our children. We challenge by asking the right questions, undertaking forensic analysis, reviewing and evaluating regularly to drive success.
